Dame Susan Devoy has resigned as a member of the Sustainability Council’s board as a consequence of her appointment as the new Race Relations Commissioner. In her letter of resignation, received prior to the announcement of her appointment, she said she was relinquishing a number of roles to enable her to concentrate on her new position.
Susan has been a strong supporter of a sustainable New Zealand. With her contribution to sport and recreation, and her commitment to strengthening communities through a number of organizations, Susan has provided much valued diversity to the Council.
We wish her well with the new appointment.
